University Projects/Work Projects
Here you will find my design work in university for the past 4 years, which consists of Hand Drawings, CAD Drawings, Model Making and Presentation Boards. It also includes professional completed projects and projects I am currently working on in the Residential, Commercial, Educational and Retail Sectors.
Year 0 Model

Collecting un-used items and junk around Canterbury and making them into a design focusing on one of the environmental impact that affect the world and us.

Year 0 Drawings

Mainly focusing on line drawings and creating images that uses both your right side and left side of your brain to complete the image. For example you only need to draw an outline of a table or shelf enough for your right side of the brain to process the information and the left side of your brain to complete the image of a table.

Year 1 Models

Draw, Design and make prototypes of models you designed. In this year I focused on designing with patterns and repitition.
No matter what the site or project is there is always a way to break down your ideas and design into simple tesselation of objects. Starting simple, then finishing of with a grand design.

Year 1 Drawings

Starting off with the basics of sketching out plans, sections and elevations by hand and using a drawing board to draw it up technically with out using the use of CAD program on PC.

Year 2 Collages

After watching the movie Inception I started trying things with a design within a design. So I started with collages then slowly applying these collages onto a 3D surface which I design to be a building of some sorts. After a while I thought of projecting these collages through a 3D object.

Year 2 Photoshop

After doing physical models I decided to take some of the images I taken into photoshop and created different layers with them to create a story with the images I used. While this was a matter of trial and error I noticed using 3 images had the better result then using less or more.

Year 2 3D Modelling

As much as I enjoyed making models I wanted to try creating 3D Models using a 3D program. So i focus the use of Maya and AutoCAD to help me design and build these 3D ideas.

Year 3 3D Modelling

After doing abit of 3D modelling in my 2nd year I decided to carry on with it trying to refine myself with the program.

Year 3 Modelling

After doing abit of 3D modelling in my 2nd year I decided to carry on with it trying to refine myself with the program.

Year 3 Work

On my last year it only consisted of one major project, but this project was indept and challenging. I had to create well made models, a set of technical drawings with texture in them as well as inhabitating it. Also a concept that works well with the clients I have chosen to base this project on. The site was already given to me which was 36 Queen Street in the City of London. What I had to do was write a brief, come up with a concept and design elements. Then create a set of tender drawings to put the project together.

YIDA Competition Boards

The layouts of the boards are done in Indesign. The layout and the information on the boards about my concept got me into the top 12 selected nationally for the competition and finally in 3rd place at the award cermony.

Working on Henrietta Barnett School. I had to discuss with my production manager on this project on what furnishing we are building and how we would fix them together. Everything was cam and dowel fixed as this was the easiest and quickest way to put together these desks and worktops. Alot of the fixings are hidden. After deciding on what we are doing and how we are doing it, I had to draw up a cutting list and a CnC drawing for my colleagues to start building. Here are the results.

Working on the Havas project me and my colleagues took on multiple joinery items through out the building,10 Floors in total. I myself worked on the Quiet Booths, AV Walls, Mezzanine Bar and the Shower Rooms. This project has been one of the toughest so far as finishing details were not conveyed to all contractors and trying to finish each part of the building as fast as possible meant laising with other contractors were missed.
